Intro to News Paper Design

What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why?

• My favorite newspaper front page is San Antonio Express News. Because it's about helping people with water.

What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it?

• The headline is called Add Water to list of Crystal City Woe. It caught my attention because it's about getting clean water to the people in the city.

How many stories are on the front page of your favorite?

• The are four stories in the front page.

What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common?

•  I have noticed that the title is always in really big letters.  

Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc.

• What I have noticed is that some news papers have 4 or more stories in the front page when other barely have one or two. Also some pictures in some news papers are very small and have multiple pictures and other have really big pictures may two or three and cover a lot in the front page.
